📍 Local Knowledge

Collignon in Normandy is an exposed beach break that frequently remains flat during the summer months. It performs best with a northwest swell and offshore winds from the south-southwest, receiving a mix of groundswells and windswells. The spot provides both left and right-handers across the beach and is best surfed around mid-tide on a rising tide. It very rarely gets crowded, making it a quiet alternative; however, surfers should be aware of potential pollution issues at this location. Although February is noted as the most consistent month for clean waves, the broader optimal season for rideable swell with light offshore winds is typically during the winter months.
