📍 Local Knowledge

Carolles in Normandy is a fairly exposed beach and reef break with reasonably consistent surf, though summer months tend to be mostly flat. It performs best with a west-northwest swell and offshore winds from the east-southeast, receiving a mix of groundswells and windswells. The spot provides both left and right-handers across the beach. While it can sometimes get crowded, surfers should remain cautious as rocks are a known hazard in the area. The most consistent clean waves typically occur during the winter, particularly in February.
