πŸ“ Local Knowledge

Kuri Bush in Dunedin is an exposed beach break with quite consistent surf that can be surfed year-round. The best surf occurs with a south swell and offshore winds from the west-northwest, typically during winterβ€”most often in Juneβ€”when clean, rideable waves are most common. Waves arrive from both local windswells and distant groundswells, the beach produces both left and rights, and it very rarely gets crowded. Surfers should take care due to strong rips and the potential presence of sharks.
