West End in Long Beach is an exposed beach break that delivers consistent surf year-round, fueled by both groundswells and windswells. It performs best on southeast to east swells with offshore winds from the north–northwest, producing clean, rideable peaks. The break works at all tide stages, though mid to low tide often offers the best shape. Autumn, especially September and October, tends to bring the most reliable conditions, with crisp, powerful waves well-suited for a variety of board types. Easy access and multiple jetties create a range of takeoff zones, but the spot can get crowded on good days. Surfers should watch for strong rip currents and shifting sandbars.
