📍 Local Knowledge

Tobay Beach is an exposed sandbar break with fairly consistent surf throughout the year. It responds to a blend of windswells and groundswells, with the optimal swell direction from the south to southeast and offshore winds from the north to northwest. The break works well across all tide stages and typically remains uncrowded, thanks to its relative seclusion. The most favorable conditions occur during the summer, particularly in September, when clean, rideable waves are most frequent.
