📍 Local Knowledge

The Wedge (Allenhurst) in New Jersey is an exposed beach/jetty break that offers reasonably consistent surf year-round. It works best with a northeast swell and west offshore winds, especially around low tide as the tide is rising. The break features both left and right-hand waves, but rocks can pose a hazard. Winter, particularly March, provides the most consistent and clean waves with light offshore winds. The spot can get crowded, so timing is key for optimal conditions.
