📍 Local Knowledge

The South Jetty in New Jersey is a reliable beach/jetty break with both local windswells and distant groundswells, best surfed in winter, particularly November. Ideal conditions occur with a southeast swell and offshore northwest winds. While summer also offers good waves, winter provides the most consistent clean surf. The break favors rights and works best around mid tide. Crowds can be an issue, and strong rips require caution. Some shelter from south winds helps maintain cleaner conditions.
