📍 Local Knowledge

The Castle, New Jersey, is a fairly exposed beach/jetty break with consistent surf year-round. It works best with a northeast swell and offshore northwest winds, with the most reliable clean waves occurring in winter, especially March. The break favors lefts and is best around mid-tide. Swell sources include both groundswells and windswells. Crowds are generally light, but surfers should be cautious of rips and rusty wrecks.
