Offshore winds from the west clean up swells from the southeast to northeast, producing rideable conditions for both shortboards and longboards, though the waves tend to favor faster boards when the swell is stronger. The spot works across all tides but is often best around mid tide when the shape holds up without closing out. Crowds range from light to moderate, with larger numbers during summer and hurricane swell events. The most consistent clean waves usually occur in September.
