Loch Arbor and Deal in New Jersey is an exposed sandbar break that offers fairly consistent surf year-round, with the best conditions occurring when a Southeast swell combines with offshore winds from the West-northwest. It works well with groundswells, and offshore winds from the west-northwest provide ideal surf. The area can get crowded, and surfers should be cautious of rocks, man-made hazards (such as buoys), and localism. The most favorable time for clean, rideable waves with light or offshore winds is during the summer, particularly in July.
