Dique Sur

Dique Sur is a jetty-assisted beach break located on the Mediterranean coast in Melilla. Unlike Morocco's famous Atlantic point breaks, this Mediterranean spot relies on short-period winter windswells or rare, heavy easterly Mediterranean swells to start working. When a solid East or Northeast swell aligns with clean West or Southwest offshore winds, the southern breakwater (Dique Sur) provides structured, fun right and left-hand peaks over a sandy bottom. It is generally a user-friendly, mellow wave suitable for all skill levels, though it suffers from inconsistent swell and can see localized crowds when the conditions finally clean up.
