πŸ“ Local Knowledge

Ocean City Boardwalk in Maryland is an exposed beach break that picks up swells from multiple directions, with the best surf usually arriving from tropical systems and strong nor’easters. Offshore winds from the west create the cleanest conditions, shaping peaky lefts and rights along shifting sandbars. This area tends to break across most tide stages, though mid to incoming tide often offers the best mix of form and consistency. Located in the heart of town, the Boardwalk is one of the busiest stretches of beach, drawing heavy crowds of surfers, tourists, and swimmers in summer. Rip currents and shorebreak can be strong, especially during stormy conditions. The most consistent clean waves generally occur in September.
