📍 Local Knowledge

Lbarkou in North Central Morocco (Safi Province) is a fairly exposed reef break with quite consistent surf year-round. It works best with a northwest swell and offshore winds from the east or northeast. The spot tends to receive a mix of groundswells and windswells, with the most consistent clean waves typically occurring in winter, particularly from December through January. Crowds are uncommon, even when the surf is up, providing a wild and highly uncrowded lineup along the raw coastline near the Sidi Mohamed Ben Ali area.
