When it's breaking, conditions are best when a north-northwest swell pairs with offshore winds from the south-southeast, producing clean waves. Despite its consistency, the spot can get crowded when it's working. Hazards include rocks, localism, and sharks, making caution essential. While it's a dependable location, the month of January tends to offer the best chance for consistent, clean waves.
