πŸ“ Local Knowledge

Swabbyland in Oahu is an exposed reef break with generally unreliable surf and no strong seasonal consistency. It works best when a south swell aligns with offshore winds from the north. The break picks up both groundswells and windswells, but waves here can be inconsistent. Despite its fickle nature, it often draws a crowd when it’s breaking. Lefts and rights are available, and hazards such as sharks and rocks warrant caution. Your best bet for clean, rideable conditions is during the summer months, especially in May.
