📍 Local Knowledge

Shark Country in Oahu is an exposed reef break with fairly consistent surf year-round. It works best when a South-southeast swell combines with North-northwest offshore winds, producing clean, rideable waves. The break receives a mix of groundswells and windswells and is a left-hand reef break. The spot can be sometimes crowded, and surfers should be cautious of rocks and sharks. The best conditions typically occur during Spring, especially in May.
