It performs best when a South-southwest swell combines with North offshore winds, though there is no shelter from cross-shore breezes. The spot receives a mix of groundswells and windswells and does not have a reef break. It is generally uncrowded, but surfers should be cautious of urchins, rocks, and sharks. The best conditions typically occur during Summer, especially in May.
