Poor conditions right now. Small 1.3ft waves with quality 9s ground swell but strong 15kt winds making it choppy Note: winds from SSW would be better. Might want to wait for better conditions.

📍 Local Knowledge

Peahi/Jaws in Maui is an exposed reef break with fairly consistent surf. Winter is the best time of year to catch waves here. When it's working, conditions are best when a north-northeast swell pairs with offshore winds from the south-southwest, producing clean left and right-hand reef breaks. The quality of the surf isn't affected by the tide. Even when there are waves, it's not likely to be crowded. Hazards include rips and rocks, so use caution. While it's a dependable location, the month of December tends to offer the best chance for consistent, clean waves.
