📍 Local Knowledge

Palm Point in Maui is an exposed reef and point break with pretty consistent surf. Winter is the favored time of year for surfing here. When it's working, conditions are best when a north-northeast swell pairs with offshore winds from the south, producing left and better right-hand reef breaks. This spot is often crowded when the surf is good. Hazards include rocks and sharks, so use caution. While it's a dependable location, the month of December tends to offer the best chance for consistent, clean waves.
