It performs best when offshore winds blow from the north and a south swell is in the water. The reef setup provides both left and right-breaking waves, and wave quality holds across different tide levels. While it can draw a crowd when conditions align, it’s generally manageable. Common hazards include sharks and submerged rocks, so caution is advised. The most reliable surf here tends to occur in summer, especially in May, when clean conditions are more likely.
