📍 Local Knowledge
Manini Beach on the Big Island is an exposed reef break known for its reliable surf that can work year-round. The best sessions happen when clean southwest groundswells meet offshore winds from the east, setting up quality left-hand rides over the reef. The break handles all stages of the tide well, offering versatility in conditions. While not overly crowded, it can draw a local crew when it’s on. Hazards include urchins, rocks, rips, and localism, so caution is advised. The most consistent clean conditions typically occur during summer, especially in July.
