📍 Local Knowledge

Majors Bay in Kauai is an exposed beach and point break that delivers consistent surf year-round, with the most reliable conditions during summer. The break lights up when long-period south swells meet offshore winds from the northeast, producing clean right-handers along the sandy and rocky coastline. Although not as remote as other Kauai spots, it can still draw a crowd on good days. Strong rip currents are a known hazard, so surfers should exercise caution. August is often the standout month for clean, rideable waves at Majors Bay.
