The spot performs best when a west-northwest swell meets offshore winds from the east-southeast, producing clean, rideable waves with both left and right options. While it can get a bit crowded on good days, the atmosphere generally remains relaxed. Surfers should stay alert for rips and the presence of sharks. January is typically the prime month for scoring the best conditions at Kiholo Bay.
