It works best with offshore winds from the north-northeast and receives a mix of groundswells and windswells, with the ideal swell direction from the south-southeast. The reef breaks left, and the spot is rarely crowded. Surfers should watch out for rocks and other hazards. The best conditions occur when a northeast swell combines with offshore winds from the west, with the prime surfing season during winter, especially in November.
