πŸ“ Local Knowledge

Barber's Point – Coast Guard Jetty in Oahu is an exposed reef break that offers fairly consistent surf throughout the year. It responds well to both groundswells and windswells, with optimal conditions occurring when a south swell meets offshore winds from the north. The break provides both lefts and rights, and tide levels don’t significantly affect wave quality. Despite its reliability, it typically remains uncrowded. Surfing here comes with hazards such as sharks, so vigilance is necessary. The best time for clean, rideable waves is during summer, particularly in May.
