πŸ“ Local Knowledge

Sugar Shack in Georgia is an exposed beach break that sees its best surf during winter, especially in November. It works best with offshore winds from the west-northwest and a northeast swell, with waves more commonly generated by local windswells than distant groundswells. The beach break produces both left and right-hand waves, and conditions are ideal around mid-tide as it’s rising. It is rarely crowded, offering a quieter surf experience. Surfers should be cautious of sharks. Optimal conditions occur when a northeast swell combines with west-northwest winds.
