πŸ“ Local Knowledge

Ossabaw Island is a secluded, boat-accessed beach-break featuring shifting sandbars and long, undeveloped stretches of coastline. It performs best in fall through winter, particularly September through March, when tropical swells, nor’easters, and occasional winter storms align with offshore winds to produce the most consistent peaks. Surf is most rideable around low to mid tide, offering fun lefts and rights across clean sand. Crowds are virtually non-existent, but surfers must be self-reliant and prepared for strong rips, remoteness, and logistical challenges.
