πŸ“ Local Knowledge

Goulds Inlet in Georgia is an exposed beach and pier break that only works occasionally and lacks a consistent seasonal pattern. It performs best with offshore winds from the west and a swell direction from the east, receiving equal amounts of windswells and groundswells. The break offers both left and right-hand waves and is best surfed around mid tide as it’s rising. When conditions are good, it can get quite busy in the water. Surfers should be cautious of rips, rocks, locals, and sharks. Optimal surf occurs when an east swell combines with west winds, with the most consistent clean waves typically found in summer, especially in July.
