📍 Local Knowledge

5th and 7th Streets in Georgia is an exposed beach break with unreliable waves and no consistent seasonal pattern. It works best with offshore winds from the northwest and a swell direction from the east, primarily receiving groundswells. The break offers both left and right-hand waves and is best surfed around high tide when the tide is rising. It is unlikely to be crowded, even on good days. Surfers should be cautious of rips, submerged objects, sharks, and jellyfish. Optimal surf occurs when an east swell combines with northwest winds, with the most consistent clean waves typically appearing in winter, especially in November.
