Poor conditions right now. Tiny waves under 1ft with mixed swell but strong 15kt winds making it choppy Note: winds from SSW would be better. Might want to wait for better conditions.

📍 Local Knowledge

Ria Foz in Galicia is a reasonably exposed river break that offers quite reliable surf, particularly during the autumn months. This unique spot favors left-hand waves driven by a mix of local windswells and distant groundswells; while it provides good surf at all stages of the tide, surfers must be extremely vigilant of the strong currents and rips inherent to a river mouth. The best conditions reported for surf at Ria Foz occur when a North-northwest swell combines with an offshore wind direction from the South-southwest, and the best time of year for surfing with consistent clean waves is the month of January.
