Playa Aguieira in Galicia is a quite exposed beach break with reasonably consistent surf that can work at any time of the year. The beach breaks here tend to favor left-handers, receiving an equal measure of windswells and groundswells, and the spot performs best around low tide; however, the lineup can get quite busy when the surf is up. The best conditions reported for surf at Playa Aguieira occur when a West-northwest swell combines with an offshore wind direction from the South, and the best time of year for surfing with consistent clean waves (rideable swell with light / offshore winds) is the month of December.
