📍 Local Knowledge
Vilano Jetty in North Florida is an exposed beach and jetty break with quite consistent surf that works year-round. The best conditions happen when offshore winds from the southwest combine with a north-northeast swell. Waves here are just as likely from local windswells as distant groundswells, and the break favors right-handers. Best around low tide, this spot can sometimes get crowded. Surfers should be cautious of sharks, rips, rocks, jetskis, and pollution. The best time for consistent, clean waves is during spring, especially in March.
