📍 Local Knowledge

Venice North and South Jetty in Florida is a fairly exposed beach and jetty break that works inconsistently, with surf typically best during hurricane season. It offers both left and right-hand waves, mainly from windswells, with an ideal swell direction from the south-southwest and offshore winds from the northeast. The spot can become crowded when it's on, and surfers should be cautious of rips, rocks, and sharks. The best conditions are reported when a south-southwest swell combines with northeast offshore winds. While hurricane season brings occasional pulses, the most consistent clean waves occur in winter, especially in January.
