📍 Local Knowledge

Sunrise is a sandbar break located at the public beach between Flagpole and Charlie's Crab Restaurant. It rivals Lake Worth Pier as one of the most consistent spots in South Florida. It's a user-friendly wave that can't hold much size but is a good spot for beginners. Winter is the best time of year for surf, when north swells can produce good left barrels and rare south swells can produce excellent rights. It is surfable at all stages of the tide. This spot can get very crowded, especially on weekends and holidays. Hazards include aggressive locals and meter maids. The best chance for clean waves is in the morning before crowds and afternoon thunderstorms.
