📍 Local Knowledge

Ponte Vedra in North Florida is an exposed beach and reef break with fairly consistent surf year-round. The best conditions occur with offshore winds from the southwest and a north-northeast swell, although some sources also report good waves with east-southeast swell directions. The break offers both left and right-handers and works best around low tide. Crowds are occasional, and surfers should be cautious of sharks, rips, rocks, jet skis, and pollution. The most reliable surf with clean conditions typically occurs in summer, especially in July.
