📍 Local Knowledge
Ponce Inlet in North Florida is a fairly exposed beach and jetty break with consistent surf that can work year-round. It picks up both groundswells and windswells, with the best surf arriving from the southeast and cleaning up nicely when offshore winds blow from the southwest. The break favors rights and works best around high tide. It's a well-known and often crowded spot, with common hazards including strong rips, rocky sections, localism, and occasional shark sightings.
