📍 Local Knowledge

Pet Den is a sandy beach-break located just south of Satellite Beach, accessing the shoreline near a residential stretch with easy roadside parking. Surf tends to be most consistent in winter and spring when northeast swells arrive, while occasional summer tropical activity can bring extra peaky waves. East to northeast swell directions work best, especially when paired with light offshore breezes from the west. The beach holds over a range of tides, though mid to incoming tides usually offer the cleanest shape. The waves are often peaky and fun, suited for longboarders and intermediate surfers; hazards include shifting sandbars and the usual rip currents.
