Ormond Beach is a versatile sand-bottom beach- and jetty-break just north of Daytona Beach. It works best in winter—particularly February, when southwest groundswells align with light northeast offshore winds to deliver the cleanest and most consistent form. Surf tends to perform best around high tide, offering both lefts and rights suitable for most levels. Despite accessibility, lineups remain manageable thanks to distributed peaks along the shoreline. Surfers should watch for rip currents and occasional pollution near the jetties.
