📍 Local Knowledge

Lori Wilson Park is a sandy beach-break offering consistent, beginner-friendly waves along Florida’s Space Coast. Surf tends to clean up most reliably in winter, particularly around July, when east swells combine with lighter west winds to produce rideable conditions. East to east-northeast swell directions typically work best, especially with offshore breeze from the west helping sculpt the waves. Mid to incoming tides often provide the most balanced form. The waves are mellow and peel gently—well suited to longboarders, beginners, and relaxed cruisers—while the spot remains relatively uncrowded. Main hazards include occasional rip currents and the need to navigate more park-style beach traffic given its amenities.
