📍 Local Knowledge

Long Point in North Florida is an exposed sandbar break with fairly consistent surf, though summer tends to bring flatter conditions. It works best with offshore winds from the southwest and draws most of its energy from east-facing groundswells. Despite its quality on the right day, it remains largely uncrowded, offering a more peaceful session compared to busier spots. The best conditions occur when an east swell meets southwest offshore winds, with July typically providing the most reliable window for clean, rideable waves. Keep an eye out for sharks, which can be a concern in the area.
