📍 Local Knowledge

Little Talbot Island in North Florida is an exposed beach/Pier break with quite consistent surf that can work year-round. It performs best with offshore winds from the southwest and mostly receives groundswells from an optimum swell angle of northeast. The break favors left-hand waves and is best surfed around low tide. It can get sometimes crowded, with hazards including sharks, jellyfish, and rips. The best conditions occur when a northeast swell combines with southwest offshore winds, and the most consistent clean waves are typically found in spring, especially in September.
