📍 Local Knowledge
Lighthouse in North Florida is a reasonably exposed sandbar break with fairly consistent surf that works year-round. Offshore winds from the west-southwest paired with an east swell provide the best conditions. This spot picks up both local windswells and distant groundswells, with rideable waves at all tide stages. It can get crowded, and surfers should be mindful of rips, undertow, and nearby man-made hazards like buoys. The best time for consistent, clean waves is during summer, especially in July.
