📍 Local Knowledge

Indian Harbour Beach is a sandy beach-break with direct shoreline access and nearby beachside city amenities. Surf tends to be most consistent in summer through early fall when easterly swells arrive, while smaller breezy waves are common the rest of the year. East to east-southeast swell directions work best, particularly with light offshore early-morning or late-afternoon breezes. The beach holds across most tide stages, though mid to incoming tides generally provide cleaner shaping. Waves are mellow and peeling—ideal for beginners and longboarders—with light to moderate crowds; typical hazards include occasional rip currents and limited parking.
