Hightower Beach is a sandy beach-break nestled between Perkins and RC’s, offering consistent waves without the crowds of its neighboring breaks. Surf tends to be most reliable in autumn and winter when northeast swells bring energy, and light offshore west or southwest breezes help clean the surface. Mid tides generally produce the best wave shape. Expect peaky, fast-breaking lefts and rights that suit intermediate to advanced surfers when swell hits. Access is easy with free parking and a boardwalk, though caution is advised for submerged rock near the outer sandbars and occasional rip currents.
