It responds well to a mix of groundswells and windswells, with the best waves arriving from the north-northeast and cleaning up in offshore winds from the southwest. The wave setup favors lefts and is most consistent around mid tide as it rises. While it can get crowded when conditions are good, it remains a dependable spot. Hazards include strong rips, jellyfish, pollution, and frequent shark activity. Spring is the most consistent season, with March offering the best window for clean surf.
