Duval Street in North Florida is an exposed beach break known for its very consistent surf, offering reliable conditions throughout the year. It works best with offshore winds from the southwest and receives a balanced mix of windswells and groundswells, with the optimal swell direction coming from the east-northeast. The beach break produces both left and right-hand waves, and it remains largely uncrowded even when the surf is up. While winter is typically considered the prime season for surfing here, the most consistent clean conditions—with light, offshore winds—are often found in the summer, particularly in July.
