📍 Local Knowledge

Charlie's Crab in Palm Beach, Florida, is a beach break that is considered one of the most consistent surf spots in South Florida. The outside reef can work on occasion, but it's really an inside wave. North swells will produce good left barrels, while rare south swells can spin excellent rights. It is surfable on both ground and wind swells. The spot is located between a flagpole, a lifeguard tower, and the restaurant. It can get very crowded, especially on weekends and holidays. Hazards include aggressive older locals and tourists in the impact zone, as well as lightning during thunderstorms.
