📍 Local Knowledge

Canova Beach in North Florida is an exposed beach break with fairly consistent surf, though summer tends to be mostly flat. It works best on northeast swells paired with offshore winds from the west and handles both windswells and groundswells equally well. The break offers both lefts and rights and performs best around low tide. It can get busy when conditions are good. Rips are the main hazard to watch for. Winter, especially January, is the most reliable time for clean, rideable waves.
