📍 Local Knowledge

Anclote Island in Gulf Coast, Florida is a fairly exposed sandbar break that works best during winter. The surf is predominantly generated by short-fetch windswells, with the ideal wave direction from the southwest and offshore winds from the west. The sandbar offers both left and right-hand waves and is surfable at all tide stages. Crowds are rare, making it a quieter spot. The most consistent clean waves occur in winter, particularly in January.
