Deba in Pais Vasco is an exposed beach and reef break that does not work very often, with no specific seasonal pattern to its activity. This spot provides both left and right-hand waves from a mix of groundswells and windswells; while it is best surfed around high tide and is unlikely to be crowded even when the surf is up, visitors should remain vigilant regarding hazards like rip currents and rocks. The best conditions occur when a Northwest swell combines with South offshore winds, with December being the prime month for consistent, clean waves.
